Overnight Oats are one of the staple recipes that all Slimming World fans will know. It is simple to make and is good for you giving you fibre and calcium, things that can lack in a ‘diet’.
You will need a container, I use a Kilner Jar, with a lid. There are a few permutations on how to prepare it, Mrs Peter does it differently to me, but this is how I do it.
Put your oats or bran in the bottom of the jar and then add the fruit until about 3/4 of the way up then top up with frozen fruit. You could use fresh fruit but we want the moisture of the fruit when it melts to mix in with the oats.
Put it overnight in the fridge (hence Overnight Oats) and in the morning it will be ready for you to eat. Just mix it around in the jar in the morning and away you go !
Mrs Peter mixes the oats with the yoghurt first and then adds the fruit, some people layer it. It is down to your preference.
